Thermostat control – cooling off

Like most positions, there are a few cool bonuses to the job that I currently hold, then first of all, my direct boss is never around.

He essentially wants me to run the company for him, and to leave him uninvolved unless there’s a really large issue. Secondly, I don’t have a rigid schedule and get to start whenever I show up each afternoon. That means I miss a ton of traffic and never have to set frightening alarms in the morning, but lastly, I just so happened to be seated right next to the thermostat in the office when I do show up for work. I cannot express to you how important this has been for my continued happiness within the business. You see, while it sounds like I have a totally easy gig, I can get pretty boiling under the collar around that place when the familiar shenanigans are happening. It seems cool not to ever see your boss – however when you’re brand current to the position, it’s honestly quite a heated debate about whether or not this is a enjoyable idea. That’s why I often find myself getting all boiling and bothered as I rest at my desk at work, taking confusing direction from all channels except my actual employer, but as my frustration grows, so does my internal body temperature, I swear. I literally begin heating up and perspiring through my shirt as the confusion grows each afternoon. That’s when I’m more grateful than ever before to have access to the indoor air temperature control over my desk each afternoon. As the pressure and temperature grow, at least the indoor air temperature can stay mellow and low.
